She was mentored by the internationally known artist Dennis Brown at his studio in Bothell, WA. All of Julie’s sculptures are made from polymer clay. They are hand sculpted (including the eyes) and hand-painted. She does not use molds of any kind so each piece is a unique original and one of a kind. Julie’s favorite pieces to make are animals, fairy homes, fairy’s, gnomes, wizards, dragons, mice, and other animals. And now, Julie has used her talent to bring characters from The Peacock Door Tales to life!
